This home was owned by James Stuart Cain. His family sold the entire town of Bodie, a "ghost town" to the state of California in 1962. I particularly liked the way the light was falling on the house walls and porch behind the fence. The house was made light and soft by both the side lighting and the window that surrounds the porch. I wanted to get the corner post and the arrow-shaped posts in the picture because of the side lighting on them gives them a 3-dimensionality look.
