Description: I come to El Capitan Meadow to see the grand old Black Oaks each time I visit Yosemite Valley. Morning is my favorite time of the day to photograph, although I hate to get up early. The play of the early morning light on the leaves, with the blackened tree trunks, the tree's shadows and the misty meadow gives a strong contrast and at the same time a soft feel that makes this a magical place. |
