On the trail up from Bear Lake, off to your left, one gets fabulous views of Longs Peak. On this particular day, in the summer, there was an incredible thundercloud over the peak, which must have reached up to 30,000 feet. The enormity of the cloud is enhanced by the mountain below it. The shadows on the mountain sides increase the overall sense of size of the cloud and mountain.
