I must have photographed this particular boulder in Mirror Lake (actually, it is now called Mirror Meadow, because most of the year there is very little water in it) many times over the years. I have a black and white image of this boulder made over thirty years before this one, and the rock looks remakably similar (big surprise). With the advent of my using a digital camera, I now make color images of the subjects I used to only be able to make black and white images of, since I only took black and white film with me.
