This image is a good example of the California coast at Big Sur. The waves breaking and the rocks breaking up the foam on the shore. I have framed the far rocks with the two large rocks in the middle ground, and then I have positioned the foreground rocks and waves to give the depth I wanted in this composition. With a bland sky in this image I kept the horizon high up to better emphasize the foreground rocks and the motion of the water.
