Gates of the Valley in Spring, Yosemite National Park, CA
I was back in Yosemite in the spring, my favorite time of the year there, and I always come to this iconic spot in the valley, called "The Gates of the Valley" by Ansel Adams. The water was flowing fast, and I noticed that even Ribbon Falls was making an appearance next to El Capitan (this is a temporary falls, usually not running). I placed the large downed tree trunk in the foreground to give some more interest in the water, and shot El Capitan, which was lit up by the late afternoon light.
