Description: This image was taken during the
winter, when there was very little water coming off of Yosemite falls. The striations in
the granite walls looked like veins, and the rocks in the pool seemed almost
alive, swimming around just beneath the water. It was most difficult to get to the cliff
wall to take this picture, with all of the boulders that were usually under water that had
to be climbed over, with my 4x5 view camera on it's tripod slung over my shoulder! Getting
a good footing for the tripod was also a challenge. But I think the effort was more than
    worth it! |
