These nasturtium leaves were in front of my home in Westminster, a town in southern california near Huntington Beach. It had rained heavily that day and I wanted to photograph the pooled raindrops on the leaves before they dried. I think it is the star-like pattern of the veins of the leaves as they go out from the center that gives this image its beauty. Also, the leaves seem to float at differrent levels, since I shot this with a small aperature to get as much depth of field as I could get.
