This is one of the latest images I have taken of the Mesquite Dunes in Death Valley National Park. This image is about the tiny ripples that form right after sunrise that make beautiful patterns on the sand. The straight horizontal lines in the foreground dunes are almost at right angles to the ripples, and make an interesting abstract pattern. The gently curving line of the distant shadowed dune breaks up the horizontal and vertical patterns.
