Ubehebe Crater and Bushes, Death Valley, CA
This is one of the latest images I have taken in Death Valley National Park. I had never been to the Ubehebe Crater until my trip in 2015. I got there a litle before sunset, and the low sun angle made the small bushes stand out against the black sand of the crater. I made this image look almost abstract by not showing the horizon or other subject that might give some perspective to the bushes. The undulating land gives the image some depth.
