This image was taken in Tuolumne Meadows in the spring (May) as a storm was going by. There was ground fog in the distance, and low storm clouds overhead. I wanted to get the feeling of raw weather with this image. The Tuolumne River had been reduced to just a stream, and the snow on the meadow provides some texture to the foreground. The black trees provide contrast with the mountains behind.
