I was standing on the rim of the canyon opposite from the famous White House ruins. These ruins were home to the Anasazi indians about a thousand years ago. The sun was mostly behind clouds that day, but I got lucky and took the image with my Nikon 80-400mm lens just when it got light out for a second. I like this composition with the lower ruins and upper ruins in the same image seen from above, as you can see more detail in the ruins.
